In order to encourage more young voters to take part in the political process, Government of India has decided to celebrate January 25 every year as “National Voters’ Day”. It has been started from 25 January 2011 to mark Commission’s foundation day.
Students rally on National Voters Day By Observing the new voters, who have attained the age of 18 years, were showing less interest in getting enrolled in the electoral rolls, the level of their enrolment was as low as 20 to 25 per cent in certain cases. The slogan ‘No Voter to be left behind’ has been coined to further emphasis the focus on inclusiveness.
An Online Event was held on Google Meet and students were explained about the importance of voting and their basic rights, what they should decide how to elect any member.
